Baked Yam Treat – Good for You!

Good for you...Congratulations for trying this recipe.  You will be amazed how delicious and healthful a yam can be without all the added sweeteners.  The trick to this recipe is to allow the yam to slightly burnish on the edges.  The deep caramelized sweetness in contrast to the savory Hometown Number 1 brings out the full rich essence of the yam.

Baked Yam Treat – Good for You!
1 – 2 servings

Ingredients
1 each-Beauregard Yam approx. 1 lb. – peeled
1 Tbs. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tsp, Hometown Number 1® blended Seasoning

Directions
1.     Preheat oven to 350° degrees
2.    Peel yam and slice into 1/2” coins
3.    Place sliced yam in an oven proof baking dish and toss with the olive oil; and Hometown Number 1® Blended Seasoning coating evenly.
4.    Arrange leaving space between slices.
5.    Place in oven and allow yam to brown and caramelize.  No need to turn.  About 30 - 40 minutes.  Done when sugar beads appear on the surface and edges darken,
