Meatloaf Wheat-Free



An American Classic
Hometown Number 1® Meatloaf Wheat-Free
Serves 6 - 8


 


Before You Start
Read entire recipe...Note: Oat flour is not a substitute for the ground oatmeal!
Prepare and have all ingredients ready.

Ingredients
Step 1
2 Large Eggs
1/4 cup Soy Milk – plain
1/2 cup Tomato Sauce - generic
1/4 cup ground instant/quick oatmeal – Coffee grinder works great
1 Tablespoon Hometown Number 1® Blended Seasoning
1 teaspoon Better than Beef Bouillon --
1 cup Finely Chopped Onion

Step 2
2 1/2 lbs. Ground Beef - 80/20

Step 3
1/2 cup Ketchup - Del Monte
1 teaspoon Cracked Black Pepper

Directions
1. Preheat Oven 350 Degrees
2. Place oven shelf on lowest position.
3. Foil line a 1/4 sheet pan (9”x13”).
4. Into an 8 qt. bowl place Step 1 ingredients, whisk thoroughly combining to a slurry.
5. To the slurry add Step 2 ground beef, to retain texture, gently mix to combine completely together.
6. Place mixture onto the lined sheet pan and form loaf.
7. Score top of loaf, Step 3 spread Ketchup over top, sprinkle with cracked pepper.
8. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until meatloaf reaches 160°F.
9. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Simply Great Burger

Simply Great Burger

Ingredients
1 lbs. Ground Chuck - 80/20 fat
1 ½ tsp. Hometown Number 1® Blended Seasoning
Optional
1 Tbs. Cracked Black Pepper

Directions
1. Sprinkle 1-1/2 tsp. Hometown Number 1® Blended Seasoning over 1 pound of ground chuck.
2. Mix gently to combine.
3. Optional
     Place black pepper in a plate and roll the edge of burger through it.
4. Form three burgers and grill to desired doneness.
5. Serve with your favorite fixin’s.

Suggestions
The higher fat content will yields a juicier finished product.
Open the bun and toast on griddle.
